Thinking that they would get new treasure, they left for the island.When they arrived at the island, they heard someone singing a folk song, "The king of the sea, the golden crown...". And they learnt that the name of the island was Mecka Island, and that the building standing there was Mecka Castle.Suddenly Ratchet, the son of the old woman, appeared. He thought Luffy was the pirate who had kidnapped her, and he took her home without listening to her.But, they couldn't abandon the treasure. They thought there was a clue about the treasure in the lyrics of the folk song, and they began to look for the treasure. However, traps beyond their imaginations were waiting for them.

In 2039, helper androids are widespread as general purpose electronics. Keiichiro lost his family in a traffic accident and retired from his band. One day, he finds an old model android in a garbage dump. He takes her home but after taking her to a repair shop he was told she couldn't be repaired so he planed to throw her away, but the next day he finds her making breakfast for him. Thus begin the summer days of a memoryless android and a dreamless boy. Kowarekake no Orgel was originally an independent animation released as an OVA. Later on it received a theatrical release that is a bit different and longer than the original.

An organization called AAST is founded, which in cooperation with Structure Doctor Hiroshi Hyuga develops a suit, "Mars", as a trump card against the relic people. Whoever wears the suit obtains super powers, but only a few genetically compatible people are able to wear it. Tairu, the son of the doctor, was the first suitable person.One of the fallen fragments is being transported to a laboratory in the United States for an analysis when the transfer is intercepted by the relic people.
